* Olmstead Way: Report of a residential burglary in the 2200 block at 4:20 p.m. Thursday.

* West South Street: Report of assault and battery in the 500 block at 6:21 p.m. Thursday.

* John Marshall Park: Report of a narcotics violation; arrest made at 11:20 p.m. Thursday

BREA

* Brea Mall: Police cited two 16-year-old females with possession of tobacco at 2:30 p.m. Friday.

BUENA PARK

* Stanton Avenue: A caller said someone siphoned five gallons of gas from a car’s tank and stole a diaper bag from the car’s glove compartment in the 6100 block; reported at 1:15 p.m. Thursday.

* Dale Avenue: Someone broke through a bedroom window and stole a telescope in the 8300 block; reported at 4:21 p.m. Thursday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Apache River Avenue: Someone removed a resident’s Hanukkah flag from a holder outside the home, broke the flagpole and attempted to burn the flag sometime Thursday night. The flag did not catch on fire, but a 1-inch hole was burned into it. It was left on the driveway.

FULLERTON

* State College Boulevard: Report of an assault in the 300 block at 12:21 p.m. Sunday; apparently a furniture salesman grabbed a customer and pushed him out of the store.

* Deerpark Drive: Report of vandalism in the 1200 block at 3:56 p.m. Sunday.

GARDEN GROVE

* Harbor Boulevard: Police found a 42-year-old transient dead behind a bush at a business in the 12000 block at 4 p.m. Thursday. The cause of death appeared to be natural but the case is under investigation.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

IRVINE

* Culver Drive at Michelson Drive: Three 18-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of possessing burglary tools at 4:39 a.m. Sunday.

LAGUNA BEACH

* Regatta Road: More than $45,000 in jewelry was stolen from a house in the 1400 block while the owners were out of town; the incident was reported Sunday. There was no sign of forced entry.

LAGUNA HILLS

* Laguna Hills Drive: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 24000 block at 11:01 p.m. Dec. 15.

LAGUNA NIGUEL

* Running Deer Lane: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 29000 block at 3:47 p.m. Dec. 15.

LA HABRA

* East Grace Avenue: Resident complained of loud music in the 200 block at 1:12 p.m. Sunday.

LAKE FOREST

* Ridgewood Circle: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 24000 block at 5:57 p.m. Dec. 15.

LA PALMA

* Lancashire Circle: An apparently false report of someone having a seizure due to alcohol and pills in the 8000 block was called in at 9:31 p.m. Sunday. Police were told the victim was on the way to La Palma Intercommunity Hospital but the hospital said no one arrived. A check of other local hospitals also could not find the person, and police concluded the call may have been a prank.

LOS ALAMITOS

* Thor Avenue: Report of a man carrying a mailbag looking into windows as he appeared to make deliveries in a residential neighborhood in the 3600 block Saturday morning. Police questioned the man, found he was wanted on a Los Angeles sheriff’s warrant and arrested him.

MISSION VIEJO

* Hillcrest: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 27000 block at 10:45 a.m. Dec. 15.

* El Paseo: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 25000 block at 12:05 p.m. Dec. 15.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Newport Center Drive: Several pieces of jewelry and a stereo worth $5,500 were stolen from a car in the 900 block between 5:30 and 7:45 p.m. Dec. 16.

ORANGE

* Palmyra Avenue at North Grand Street: Police arrested a man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:55 a.m. Saturday.

PLACENTIA

* Easton Street: Report of a residential burglary in the 100 block at 1:38 a.m. Monday; suspect was later booked for public drunkenness.

* Loreto Place: Report of a burglary in the 3000 block at 9:37 p.m. Sunday
