What’s happening the next few weeks:

* The Seattle Art Museum’s blockbuster exhibit “Egypt, Gift of the Nile: Art, Architecture and Artifacts From the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology and Anthropology” continues through Jan. 10. The array of objects includes impressive statues, letters and a reconstructed tomb chapel from 3,000 years ago. * The award-winning Seattle Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere of “Sisters Matsumoto” by Philip Kan Gotanda, whose plays have been seen locally at East West Players, Mark Taper Forum and South Coast Repertory Theatre. Sharon Ott directs. In the play, the three Matsumoto sisters return from World War II internment camps to reclaim their family farm and their lives as Americans. * The Women in Cinema Film Festival, now in its fourth year, returns to Seattle Jan. 29 to Feb. 4, screening features, documentaries, dramas, comedies and shorts all by female filmmakers. Among the 22 films will be Vera Chytilova’s “Traps,” Nina Grosse’s “Rider of the Flames” and Angeliki Antoniou’s “Nights, Gambled Away.” At the Egyptian Theatre, 801 E.
