The latest round of signatures calling for a referendum on plans to redevelop Treasure Island, a 30-acre trailer park on prime beachfront property, is expected to be delivered to the city clerk early next week, members of the South Laguna Civic Assn. said.

Last week, more than 2,000 residents signed a document asking the city to change the general plan adopted by council members. They are seeking to modify plans for a luxury hotel, public access and a recreation park as well as 18 single-family homes.
