Speed limit signs will go up along many previously unposted streets, the City Council has decided. Along La Palma Avenue, the speed limit will be 50 mph from the west city limits to West Via Lomas De Yorba. From there, it will drop to 45 mph eastward. The limit along Bastanchury Road will be 40 mph. The speed limit for Esperanza Road will be 50 mph throughout the city. Drivers may travel up to 40 mph on Yorba Linda Boulevard except between Imperial Highway and Avocado Avenue, where the limit will be 35 mph. Information: (714) 961-7150.
