Amgen Promotes 3 Senior Executives

Amgen has promoted three of its senior finance executives, including Chief Financial Officer Kathryn E. Falberg, whose title changed from vice president to senior vice president.

Marc de Garidel was promoted to vice president, controller and chief accounting officer from senior director for financial planning and analysis. In his new role, he will be responsible for all accounting, financial reporting and financial planning activities. Before moving to the corporate headquarters in July, De Garidel was Amgen’s senior financial officer in Europe, overseeing finance and administration.

Kurt Gustafson was promoted to treasurer from assistant treasurer. Along with oversight of all treasury activities, he will be responsible for the insurance and customer finance functions. Gustafson holds an MBA from UCLA and has been with Amgen in a variety of treasury positions since 1991.
