LAKE FOREST
The deadline to apply for community development block grants for 1999-2000 is Jan. 13 at 5 p.m. The city expects to receive about $400,000 from the Federal Housing and Urban Development Department.
The grants are designed to support nonprofit programs and organizations that provide community service in Lake Forest. The City Council will hold public hearings in the spring to determine how the funds will be distributed. Applications are available at City Hall, 23161 Lake Center Drive, Suite 100.
