Re “School Board Won’t Release Belmont Papers,” Jan. 27: As a father with three kids in public school and a taxpayer with a daunting property tax bill, I think I have the right to see anything Assemblyman Scott Wildman asks the school district to show him.

If people like [LAUSD General Counsel Richard] Mason and [district Planning and Development Director Dominic] Shambra made sweetheart deals and bonehead moves that can’t stand the light of day, and my daughter is sitting in a math/science class with 41 kids in it, I want it out in the public view.

The Herculean stable-cleaning of public education is just hitting its stride. Beware all you invisible empire builders, lights are being switched on all over the district.
