Setting an Example: Tyree Wieder, president of Valley College, will be honored as Woman of the Year in the 40th Assembly District for her extensive community service. “Dr. Wieder sets an example for the San Fernando Valley. She ‘gets it,’ ” said Assemblyman Robert Hertzberg. Wieder will be honored by the Assembly on March 16.
