Kellogg Reshapes TV Spots for Special K

Super slim models are out in television advertisements for Kellogg Co.’s Special K cereal. “Women generally were not able to relate to our previous ads,” a Kellogg spokeswoman said. “They felt the body weights and sizes were unrealistic. We took the feedback, and we’re reshaping our own attitudes.” A new Kellogg TV ad campaign will make its debut later this week on major networks. The new ads won’t show specific images of women. Kellogg declined to say whether sales of the cereal have been declining.
