Re “Hero Saluted After 50-Year Delay,” Jan. 29:

What an inspirational saga of a great and modest soldier who fought with such reckless passion and bravery for his unit and thusly his country. To put his life on the line truly choked me up and swells my admiration!

How proud America can be to have had men such as Gen. James L. Day in our armed forces. God bless him!
