Students Cram for Academic Decathlon

Share

More than 160 Ventura County students are cramming for the ultimate test of wits.

The county’s 16th Academic Decathlon will be held Saturday at Oxnard High School, where students from 13 schools will answer questions on language, literature, music, science, social studies and art.

This year’s topics emphasize the globalization of the world’s economy--regarding Hong Kong, specifically--and Charlotte Bronte’s “Jane Eyre.”

Although students will be writing out their answers most of the day, the grand finale--which is open to the public--begins at 4:15 p.m.
