French Official Shot to Death in Corsica

AJACCIO, Corsica —
A senior French government official was killed on the Mediterranean island of Corsica on Friday while he was on his way to a classical music concert.
Claude Erignac, France’s regional administrator for Corsica, was shot in the head three times by two gunmen wielding pistols, police said.
