Jury Chosen in McKinney Trial

A jury of seven whites and one black was seated at Ft. Belvoir in the sexual-misconduct court-martial of Sgt. Maj. Gene C. McKinney, once the Army’s highest-ranking enlisted man, who claims he is being prosecuted because he is black. McKinney, 47, is accused of grabbing, propositioning or threatening six women under his command. Lawyers for both sides agreed on the makeup of the military trial panel. There are four officers--a black man, two white women and one white man--and four enlisted men, all white.
