Assisted Suicide

Thank you for Laura Remson Mitchell’s “Red Flag on the Slippery Slope” (Commentary, Feb. 2). How interesting for people who think legalizing assisted suicide would help people like Mitchell, who has multiple sclerosis, or myself (I was born with spinal muscular atrophy), to learn that the death option not only would not be a solution but actually would contribute to (or is a symptom of) the problem!

Death is not and never will be better health care.
