Dr. Neal Barnard of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is pushing a message of vegetarianism and exercise intended to lower our risks of heart disease and cancer. Although this may be too radical a dietary switch for most Americans, he and his mini-interviews with experts may at least persuade you to make a few changes. Barnard’s approach is clear and energetic. His manner is chatty and friendly, while his message is decidedly unlike a lecture. A little more detail would have been helpful in a couple of spots, but this offers solid, basic information to anyone wondering whether they should chuck their steak for a veggie burger.
