Low-Cost Homes Offered by Habitat for Humanity

Share

Habitat for Humanity is seeking low-income Orange County families who want a home.

Applicants are particularly needed for affordable housing in Costa Mesa, Irvine and Rancho Santa Margarita.

Applicant families must live in substandard housing, have a steady income and be willing to contribute 600 hours of labor--either building houses or office work--to Habitat projects. In return, they receive a low-cost house.

Monthly family orientation meetings are held countywide. At the gatherings, families learn how to apply for a home and the criteria for selection.
