Peacekeepers Take Legislative Buildings

Nigerian-led peacekeepers trying to oust Sierra Leone’s military government have captured the State House and parliament building from government forces and were “mopping up” the junta’s troops in the capital, a Nigerian general said. The West African peacekeeping force is trying to restore elected President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah to power.
