VitalCom Posts 4th-Quarter Loss

VitalCom Inc., a provider of computer networks for monitoring patients, said it lost $377,496, or 5 cents a share, for the fourth quarter, compared with a net loss of $3.9 million, or 50 cents a share, for the 1996 fourth quarter. Revenue rose 86% to $6.5 million from $3.5 million. For the year, the company posted a net loss of $4.6 million, or 58 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $6.4 million, or 90 cents a share, for 1996. Revenue increased 18% to $21.8 million from $18.4 million.
