The man and girl have blood on their faces. They were struck by shattering glass when a bullet hit the bus they were riding.

While the photo immediately conveys the horror of violence, it also immediately conveys the love the man has for his daughter.

The ultimate message? The strength of such love and commitment is more powerful than any outside forces of violence and hate.

Possessing this strength, the family of Isiah Barrett will persevere and prosper.
