Share

Working Wardrobes for a New Start, a nonprofit organization helping adults reenter the work force, is seeking donations of men’s clothing for its first “Day of Self-Esteem for Men.”

The March 22 event will be at Irvine City Hall.

Since its inception in 1991, the Irvine-based organization has served more than 1,500 women from 48 Orange County shelters and programs. The group has now expanded its mission to help about 75 men from eight Orange County shelters.

Participants will attend a motivational seminar and workshop where they can put together a resume and will also attend a career fair where they will meet with local business leaders looking for employees. Participants will also receive a professional wardrobe and personal grooming services to help them blend into the work force.
