A collection of memorabilia from Universal Studios’ films and TV shows, including a life vest from “Titanic” and Howard Stern’s “Fartman” costume from “Private Parts,” is being auctioned off over the Internet, with bids being accepted through March 1.

Opening bids will range from $8 to $18,000, and additional items on the block include a 9-foot standing theater display from the re-release of “Star Wars Trilogy,” a scroll used on “Xena: Warrior Princess,” and autographed scripts from “Ellen” and “3rd Rock From the Sun.”

A portion of the auction’s proceeds will benefit the Motion Picture & Television Fund, which provides health care, child care, retirement and charitable services for Southern California’s entertainment community.
