The board of directors of AML Communications in Camarillo has elected Kirk A. Waldron chief operating officer.

Waldron had been vice president and chief financial officer.

“Since he joined AML last year, Kirk has been instrumental in implementing changes to improve efficiencies and help facilitate the company’s transition to broader markets in the wireless communications industry,” said Jacob Inbar, chairman and chief executive officer. “In his new position, Kirk will manage the day-to-day operations of AML. This, in turn, will allow me to focus more intensely on our strategic plan, which is to provide wireless communications solutions to original equipment manufacturers, penetrate new markets and diversify our customer base.”

Before joining AML, the 35-year-old Waldron, a certified public accountant, was chief financial officer at Dynamotion/ATI Corp., a publicly held high-tech manufacturer of precision-drilling equipment.
