No-Hugs Policy

Who would have expected the solution to our sex scandal-ridden government to have emerged from our own Nicolas Junior High School in Fullerton, where hugging of all sorts was banned--presumably because it leads to more incendiary intimacies (Feb. 12).

How about a no-hugging perimeter around Washington? Then even Bill Clinton’s much vaunted hug of Monica Lewinsky along the glad-hand line would have landed him in the slammer, without the messy need for Ken Starr to dig into his underwear drawer.

Nice and clean, at least that’s the way the Fullerton school board sees it.
