Election Advisory Panel Seeks Members
The Simi Valley Citizens’ Election Advisory Commission is looking for two members and one alternate for the commission.
The five-member advisory board to the City Council meets about five times during an election year to help city staff review financial campaign statements, prepare candidate briefings and inform candidates of state and local campaign laws.
Deadline for application is 5 p.m. March 20. Any registered voter who lives in the city is eligible.
A special nine-member selection board will interview all applicants and nominate three to the City Council, which will make the appointments.
Applications may be obtained from the city clerk’s office at City Hall, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road, or by calling 583-6720.
