Good Deed

Your article “A 2nd Chance at Childhood” (Feb. 8) really tugged at my emotions. I was touched to say the least; it made me cry. What wonderful people are the Silvermans to embrace the Oblonsky children, who have experienced so much tragedy in their young lives.

It makes one realize that there are really good people in our world. You might call their good deed a mitzvah. It’s a good example of social capitalism--about which I am devoting a chapter in the book I am writing. We need to encourage more such good deeds.
