Micronics International Plans to Open Hong Kong Sales Office

Micronics International in Ventura has announced final plans to open a sales and distribution office in Hong Kong.

Company officials said the new site will play a dominant role in Micronics’ anticipated growth. The office will serve as a base of operations for the sales people who service customers in southern China and will also be the import channel for all Micronics’ shipments to China.

Noting that Hong Kong is a hub for freight entering China, Micronics officials said the office will enable the firm to reduce delivery times on orders to their customers. Micronics hopes to have the office staffed and operational within 60 days.

The company also said it has signed an exclusive sales agreement with Teccor Electronics of Irving, Texas, to represent its entire product line in China.

Teccor is a supplier of thyristor semiconductors, which are used to moderate the flow of electrical current and limit voltage.
