Ann McCullom; Former Co-Owner of KACE-FM

Ann McCullom, 65, radio executive and former co-owner of KACE-FM (103.9) in Inglewood. Born in Union, Miss., McCullom earned degrees from the University of Cincinnati and Kent State University in Ohio. She taught school for several years in the Midwest and at one time owned and managed KYOK-FM in Houston. She bought the Inglewood station in 1976 with her then-husband, former professional football player Willie Davis. McCullom served as public service director of KACE and host of its Sunday night talk show on community issues, “Speak Out.” She later became general manager of the station, which was sold to Cox Broadcasting in 1995. McCullom was active in the National Council of Negro Women and the Black Women’s Forum and served on the advisory committee for the Small Business Administration in Washington. On Feb. 16 in Los Angeles after a short illness.
