BRIDGETOWN, Barbados —
Three weeks into a Caribbean vacation, Britain’s Princess Margaret checked into a Barbados hospital Tuesday after suffering a mild stroke at a party.
The 67-year-old younger sister of Queen Elizabeth II was in stable condition and will fly back to Britain as soon as she is well enough to travel, Buckingham Palace said.
Margaret, the queen’s only sibling, had the stroke Monday night at a friend’s chalet on the tiny Grenadine island of Mustique, where she has a holiday home.
