Tricon Has Strategy for Final Four Tournament

Tricon Global Restaurants unveiled promotions that its Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut restaurant chains will run in conjunction with the National Collegiate Athletic Assn.’s Final Four tournament in March. Tricon, which was spun off late last year by PepsiCo, is the exclusive fast-food company of the NCAA. Taco Bell’s “Take a Shot at the Final Four” promotion will offer consumers a chance to win free food, a ski boat, a trip to the Final Four tournament or a $20,000 tuition grant for a future college student. Pizza Hut will offer tickets to bowl games and Final Four events, and KFC will offer Final Four commemorative cups.
