Medical Science Systems Inc.: The Newport Beach provider of disease testing services, incurred a net loss of $1.5 million, or 35 cents a share, for the fourth quarter, compared with a net loss of $692,000, or 16 cents a share, for the 1996 fourth quarter. Revenue rose to $43,452 from $13,499. For the year, the company reported a loss of $4.6 million, or $1.06 a share, compared with a loss of $788,546, or 18 cents a share, for 1996. Revenue dropped to $195,928 from $1.9 million.
