Council Adopts Grading System for Restaurants

Share

The City Council on Tuesday unanimously passed an ordinance that adopts the county Department of Health Services’ grading system for restaurants and other food establishments.

The county recently established a system of letter grades for restaurants, which are required to post them in their front windows. Under the system, A is best and C is worst.

However, the health department said it could not force restaurants to post the grades unless cities in the county pass ordinances requiring them to do so.
