Insanity Defense

Share

It seems extraordinarily ridiculous to me that the insanity defense can be used with great effect in cases where the insanity of the defendant is questionable, but it can’t be used in cases where the insanity of the defendant is almost obvious. That seems to be the case in the Unabomber trial (Jan. 6), and it makes one question the worth of our legal system.
