Veronex Technologies Inc.: The Irvine computer software company said it lost $8,000, or less than 1 cent a share, for the third quarter ended Nov. 30. That contrasts with net income of $5.1 million, or 97 cents a share, for the comparable period of 1996. Revenue totaled $210,000 for the 1997 period, with no revenue reported for the year-earlier period.

For the nine months, the company incurred a net loss of $137,000, or 2 cents a share, contrasted with net income of $5.3 million, or $1.06 a share, for the like three quarters of the previous fiscal year. Revenue rose 89% to $250,000 from $132,000.

The company said the revenue and net income generated a year ago resulted from one-time lawsuit settlements and revenue from the company’s prior business activities.
