Festival to Highlight Chinese Cultural Arts

Acrobats, martial arts experts and dancers will be among the performers at this month’s Festival of Chinese Cultural Arts.

Organized by the Ventura County Chinese-American Assn., the event will be at the Camarillo Community Center on Burnley Avenue on Jan. 24, starting at 6 p.m. It will spotlight Chinese customs and artistic activities, including calligraphy and painting. The Chinese Acrobats, a group trained in Peking, will headline the show.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children. Proceeds will pay for costs incurred by the nonprofit cultural group to host the festival.
