‘You Have to Share’

Re “Wright’s Temple in the Hills” (by Brenda Rees, Dec. 25): When I joined the team of docents for the Ennis-Brown House, I asked Augustus Brown, curator, if he didn’t find it terribly intrusive to live in the house (which he donated to the trust he established in the early ‘80s) with hundreds of people touring it so often.

He said, simply, “When you live in a work of art, you have to share it.”VIRGINIA M. DONOHUE
