Simi Sports Bar Isn’t Good Neighbor

Share

Those of us who live in the vicinity of the Tree House Sports Bar are still suffering the effects of drunks and inconsiderate others who create unnecessary noise and other disturbances nearly every night of the week--especially on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Christmas Eve was the most glorious night of the year: the place was closed.

I have a proposal to the Simi Valley City Council and whoever else was responsible for allowing this bar to open in the middle of a residential area in the first place. I propose that the establishment be forced to close by 11 p.m. or midnight. I know of no other business that sells alcohol in a residential area that is allowed to carry on as this place does. I understand that Thousand Oaks doesn’t even allow grocery stores to stay open late--let alone for 24 hours--which has been the trend lately.

I have grown to dislike where I live, and I don’t feel that I should be the one to move. After all, I was here first. I know that many of my neighbors feel the same way.
