Pepperdine Suspends Givens

Pepperdine junior center omm’A Givens was suspended for fighting with a teammate at practice Tuesday, leaving the Waves short-handed for their first West Coast Conference trip.

Givens will sit out games tonight at Santa Clara and Saturday at San Francisco.

Givens, averaging 8.6 points and 3.9 rebounds, will rejoin the team Monday. The 6-foot-11 Givens will be replaced by Kelvin Gibbs, a 6-6 redshirt freshman.
