Chamber to Hold Sports-Themed Mixer

The Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce will host its first mixer of the new year Thursday at Glendale Federal Bank in Seal Beach.

With Sunday’s Super Bowl expected to be on attendees’ minds, the theme for the gathering is football, and appropriate prizes will be awarded. The first 150 people also will receive telephone cards with 20 minutes of free long-distance calling.

But sports isn’t the main topic members intend to discuss. Business is. One of the organization’s primary missions is to provide a networking forum for business people from Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, Cypress, Rossmoor, Long Beach and surrounding communities.

Admission is free. The event begins at 5 p.m. at 3020 Old Ranch Parkway, Seal Beach.
