Small-Business Investing Topic of Panel

Investing for small-business owners is the topic of a special panel at The Times’ second annual Investment Strategies Conference.

“Investing and Retirement Issues for Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs” is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. to noon Feb. 8 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Times small-business columnist Vicki Torres will moderate.

In a question-and-answer format, entrepreneurs will be able to get information from investment experts Louis Barajas, owner of Louis Barajas & Associates, an accounting and financial planning firm in the City of Commerce that caters to Latinos; Rick Keller, a partner in Keller, Coad & Collins Investment Counsel Inc., registered investment advisors in Irvine who provide financial planning for high-net-worth individuals; Richard P. Moran, a Gardena financial planner with Financial Network, a nationwide investment corporation; and Laura Tarbox, owner of Tarbox Equity, fee-only financial planners and asset managers in Newport Beach.

The session is part of the Feb. 7-8 conference, which includes more than 35 panels on personal investment issues. Registration for specific panels is on a first-come, first-served basis.
