Loans Available for Victims of Flooding

Share

Damage from the flooding and mudslides of Dec. 6 has prompted the governor’s office of emergency services to declare Orange County a disaster area.

The designation makes low-interest, Small Business Administration loans available to homeowners, renters and businesses whose property was damaged. Small businesses also may apply for loans of up to $1.5 million if they have been financially hurt by the disaster. The interest rates range from 4% to 8%.

Applications for physical damage may be filed until March 13 and for economic injury until Oct. 12.
