Team Needs to Stay Focused

Facing the real possibility of losing junior Jelani McCoy this week to another suspension, Bruin senior Toby Bailey said the team has to deal with the rest of the season--and not obsess about the status of its only center.

“You guys might not believe it, but we can’t worry about that,” Bailey said of the McCoy situation. “It’d be a great loss to us if Jelani doesn’t come back.

“I mean, I love playing with him. I love passing him the ball on the break and him dunking on people. But stuff is happening so fast right now, we’ve got such good teams we’re playing, we’re trying not to think about it.”
