SAN CLEMENTE — Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc. acquired the Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn in Valencia from Halle VHP Partners for $16.5 million. The properties, each three stories with a swimming pool, are next to each other. Sunstone, a real estate investment trust, owns full-service, upscale and mid-priced hotels in the western U.S.
