Four schools will share more than $91,000 in state technology grants to fund computer equipment and software and staff training, officials recently announced.

The grants will go to Excelsior and Dr. Merton E. Hill elementary schools, Dr. Walter C. Ralston Intermediate School and Los Amigos High School. The individual amounts, based on enrollment, range from $11,375 for Hill to $48,075 for Los Amigos.

Marge Hoctor, coordinator of K-12 programs and services, said that the schools will order additional computers and educational software and expand classroom access to the Internet and district communications systems. The project is expected to be operational by September.
