Donation Pays for Disaster Aid Trailer

Share

A trailer equipped with enough first-aid supplies to treat 10 injured patients will soon be available in Camarillo, thanks to a $5,155 donation by the Camarillo Health Care District.

The donation was given to Ventura County Community Awareness and Emergency Response, a volunteer organization composed of members of various emergency response agencies, as well as local elected officials and community leaders. They plan to put the trailer at the Camarillo Airport.

In the event of a local disaster, the medical supplies will be available to residents who are injured, said Jan Rocanski, who heads the health-care district.
