ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

ICU Medical Inc.: The San Clemente maker of disposable medical devices posted strong gains in earnings and sales for the second quarter. Net income totaled $1.7 million, or 20 cents a share, up 30.8% from $1.3 million, or 16 cents a share, for the second quarter last year. Sales climbed 44% to $10.4 million from $7.2 million. Net income for the first half rose 30.8% to $3.4 million, or 40 cents a share, from $2.6 million, or 32 cents a share, a year earlier. Sales totaled $20.4 million, up 45.7% from $14 million.
