Micom Signs Lease at New Simi Office Building

Micom, a Northern Telecom company, has signed a 10-year lease for a build-to-suit office building in Simi Valley.

The 136,000-square-foot two-story building is under construction on about 7 1/2 acres in the Tapo Canyon Business Center. Micom, which has been in Simi Valley for 14 years, plans to move to its new headquarters in December.

The new building will be part of the 55-acre business center, which currently houses Guardian Medical Products and Standard Abrasives. Wohl Property Group and Prudential Real Estate Investors, which negotiated the Micom lease, also are building offices for themselves at the site.

Micom manufactures communications equipment.
