Boeing Donates $7,500 for Child Health Care

Children’s Hospital Foundation of Orange County announced Monday that Boeing California will provide $7,500 to help fund a mobile health program in the Santa Ana Unified School District.

“Children who are medically underserved will benefit from health examinations and immunizations, as well as treatment for basic health problems, such as ear, nose and throat infections,” Kimberly C. Cripe, CHOC president and chief executive officer, said in a press release.

The Healthy Tomorrows Program began in 1993 to provide early health intervention and basic medical services to schoolchildren with limited access to quality care.

Community Fund of Boeing California is carrying forward a charitable giving program established by McDonnell Douglas, which merged with the aerospace giant. Employees in Huntington Beach and Long Beach gave to the program.

Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Orange anchors a regional pediatric system that includes Children’s Hospital at Mission, Clinica CHOC Para Ninos, CHOC Clinic Orange and Healthy Tomorrows.

CHOC provides care to more than 100,000 children a year from Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego and San Bernardino counties.
