Datum Inc.: The Irvine precision timepiece manufacturer posted second-quarter net income of $43,000, or 1 cent a share, compared with net income of $2 million, or 36 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue declined 21%, to $26.2 million from $33.1 million. Datum lost $769,000, or 14 cents a share, in the first half, contrasted with net income of $3.2 million, or 62 cents a share, for the prior-year period. Revenue was down 17% to $51.5 million from $61.8 million.
