Chatsworth-based MRV Communications reported second-quarter net income of $8.7 million, or 31 cents per share, on revenue of $65.7 million, compared with net income of $5.2 million, or 21 cents, on revenue of $39.5 million, in the year-ago quarter. MRV Communications is a provider of high-speed optical networks integrating switching and fiber-optic transmission systems.
