Video game developer 3DO Co. reported a slightly narrower-than-expected loss for its fiscal first quarter and said revenue rose on the strength of its “Might and Magic VI” and “Army Men” games. The Redwood City-based company reported a loss of $2.6 million, or 10 cents a share, for the period ended June 30, contrasted with a profit of $21.2 million, or 72 cents, a year ago. A loss of 11 cents was expected. Results were released after markets closed.
